Description:
Carbon brush frame for mill motor to hold the carbon brushes. The carbon brush spring is a kind of flat coil spring, which can ensure that the pressure in the motor commutator is consistent. Usually, they are used to apply pressure to carbon brushes, and carbon brush springs are popular substitutes for round wire springs. They are used in various applications such as DC motors, alternators, starting motors, motors, generators.
Working:
The carbon brush is continuously pushed by the carbon brush spring. This ensures that the brush is always in sliding contact with the motor, so a constant pressure is applied to the commutator regardless of the brush length. It is used to transmit current. Constant contact caused by the spring ensures spark free electrical transmission. Over time, the carbon brushes will wear out due to continuous contact. This will result in a reduction in the length of the carbon brush. However, the spring ensures that pressure is always applied.
There are two types of carbon brush springs: double coil and single coil. Double brush springs are used to double the force of a single spring. They exert a constant force over their length. Depending on your application, you may need a double spring design.
