Introduction:
Tension rolls provide tension on the strip so that it travels at a predetermined tension and speed. Bridle rolls are driven rolls that coil strip passes through in a coil process line. They can be arranged in a 2 roll, 3 roll and 4 roll configuration. Since bridle rolls are much larger diameter than a pinch roll, they are able to create tension on the strip by the friction created as the strip contacts the outside roll face.
Adding relatively more Chromium alloy elements in its outer layer brings a special carbide structure. Compared with normal roll, it has higher wear resistance, hardness, strength, and campaign rolling tonnage. The core part adopts alloy spheroidal graphite(SGP) to ensure the roll's integral strength.

Working priciple:
The tension roller converts the torque exerted by the driving device on it into strip tension through friction between the roller surface and the strip. The number and arrangement of tension rollers depend on the maximum tensile force required by the strip and site conditions. The tension roller group is generally divided into the inlet tension roller group and the outlet tension roller group, which can be driven separately by an electric motor or hydraulic motor or interconnected through a gear differential device. However, regardless of the different driving devices, the fundamental purpose is to create a speed difference between the inlet and outlet belts, thereby generating the required tension for driving.
