A refiner segment is used in disk refiners for the treatment of lignocellulose-containing materials. The bar height and groove width are both predetermined.
Usually the refiner plate is composed by eight segments, and there are one rotor plate and another stator plate for a refiner mill. The refiner segment plate is the heart part of refiner and requests good wear resistance and excellent strength. Also, a premium design of the pattern is required to guarantee the performance.
