Introduction:
Cast roll manufacturing requests various technologies, which include metallurgical technologies, heat treatment techniques and mechanical techniques.
Our heat treatment techniques include:
- Quench and Tempering: Our quench and tempering process is designed to improve the mechanical properties of castings and forgings by heating them to a high temperature and then rapidly cooling them in a quenching medium.
- Annealing: We use annealing to soften castings and forgings and improve their machinability. This process involves heating the metal to a specific temperature and then allowing it to cool slowly.
- Normalizing: We use normalizing to improve the mechanical properties of castings and forgings by heating them to a high temperature and allowing them to cool in still air.
We have production lines for both cast iron rolls and cast iron rings. The Cast Iron Roll production line has various of medium-frequency furnace (15t,10t, 5t, 1.5t, and 1.0t).
We also have the centrifugal casting machines with max capacity 15 tons. The diameter of our cast rings and sleeves can reach 1500mm and maximum length is 800mm with unit weight up to 6 tons.
Our materials of cast rolls and cast rings are Alloy Indefinite Chill Cast Iron Roll, Pearlitic Nodular Cast Iron Roll, Acicular Nodular Cast Iron Roll, Adamite Roll, Graphite Steel Roll, High-Speed Steel Rolls, High Chrome Cast Iron Roll etc.
The shell depth can be controlled between 25mm to 250mm according to the customers' requirements and keep hardness drop within 5 HSC.
